A problem which many small businesses face these days, is when to invest in wireless technology for their servers. Below is a solution for blackberry users who want the functionality of Blackberry enterprise server but not the $1299 price tag that goes along with it.

“I want my blackberry to synchronize my calendars/contacts/email wirelessly but I don’t want to invest in the Blackberry Enterprise Server for 5 users if I’m the only one using a blackberry. How can I have this functionality without spending the money for 5 users?”

Blackberry actually offers a special express version of their Blackberry Professional software. It is designed for this exact scenario. You can sign up for free and it allows you to setup Enterprise server in your environment and wirelessly sync your calendar/contacts/email like larger corporations. It’s not published all over their website, since they would rather sell licenses, but it exists and is a great solution for a small business owner.
